Woah Baby!

Well as many of you know, Dave and I are expecting! I'm due sometime around May 6th but we haven't gone in for our official first appointment yet. I'm about 9 weeks along but unfortunately my first appointment isn't until I'm at 11 weeks. (The place was booked!) I didn't really want to spill the beans just yet but as there was an accidental slip up a week or so ago, I felt that I shouldn't leave everyone in the dark. So this is a big first for us. We've been married about 2 1/2 years and have enjoyed our time together. Now we are preparing to bring our first little one to the family! I'll be sure to keep you guys posted!

See the faint "second line". I wasn't a believer so I had to take a second test.

OBX...aka, THE BEACH!

Cape Hatteras Lighthouse

Melanie, Dave and Me catching some waves!

Me, Melanie and Gina- serious boogie boarding chicks!

Just the two of us;)

Labor Day weekend Dave and I headed out for our last big trip of the summer. We were joined by 7 other LDS families which comprised of mostly dental students, an orthodontist resident and a law student. We stayed in a hooked up beach house located in Waves, NC on the Outer Banks. Our house was nice and roomy, allowing each family to have their own room and included a pool table, movie theater, pool and hot tub.
I have to say, OBX is probably my favorite beach! The water was really warm and the boogie boarding was hot! That's pretty much what Dave and I did all week and it was so much fun! We had perfect weather all week until Hurricane Hannah cut us one day short. We did have a few other adventures like ordering a dozen steamed blue crabs with Melanie and Zack, taking them apart and eating them with our bare hands! We visited Cape Hatteras lighthouse, one of the tallest lighthouses in the nation. We also had a lot of good girl time. We would spend our nights playing seriously intense games of Nurtz. All the girls went out for dinner at a yummy crab restaurant. Overall, a great way to say good-bye to summer!
