Oakley Update

Not too much to say. Here are some pictures of Oakley for the grandparents. Oakley is getting cuter by the day. She loves when her dad or I talk to her and she'll give us the biggest smile. She has this really cute 'pouty' face where she sticks out her bottom lip right before she cries. We have yet to really capture it on camera but I haven't given up yet. As for the rest of us... Dave just finished finals and is now officially a 3rd year dental student! I'm busy with the baby and I've started running trying to drop the baby weight. Don't be impressed, a 70 yr old grandma passed me on the track the other day.

Ahh...

Ahhh...

Chuuuuu!

Daddy is sooo funny!

It's just so sad!!

Fun times on the playmat!

Sooo big!

The rare right-side smile, she's usually a lefty.

Happy First Father's Day Dave! This is a cute little hamburger/cupcake Father's Day treat my friend Keri arranged for us to make the other day. I can't take any credit for it but it was a lot of fun putting these treats together. Dave thoroughly enjoyed them! And to Dave's credit he has been a great dad! He loves holding and playing with Oakley and is willing to help out. He's even done some 4 am feedings and babysat while I went out with the girls. Dave thanks for being such a great dad and husband!

Happy Father's Day Dad! We miss you and hope to see you soon!

One Month Old

Oakley is now one month old and adjusting to life out of the womb. So far Oakley is a good eater and has a really good 3 hour schedule down. She only wakes up one time at night and takes a bottle so daddy can feed her every once in a while. We're still figuring out a nap schedule, she usually has two times out of the day where she just screams for a few hours. I'm still recovering and realized after a long walk yesterday that I still need to take it easy. Dave loves being a daddy and is always willing to help out. And I can get him to do just about anything as long as he doesn't have to change a poopy diaper- a fair trade off for me! Anyway, I can't believe its already been one month. So far we've love being parents and we love our little girl even more.

Baby Blessing

Memorial day weekend we drove up to New York to bless Oakley. We squished the three of us, my mom and both dogs into the car and headed up for the 6 hour drive. Besides being way too crowded the drive went pretty well. Oakley really likes riding in the car but only if you're driving fast!

The crew includes Dave's parents and grandma, my mom and her husband and my brother's family.

Just the three of us now!

Oakley slept through pretty much everything... gotta love newborns!

Dave and Oakley were both pretty tired out by the whole thing.

My brother Aleks, his wife Laura and Oakley's cousin Issac drove down from Boston.
